Next, you always followed through. In a world where most of the people you are dealing with have no sense of urgency or priority to follow thru, the fact that you always did what you committed to do, in the timeframe you promised, and with results that I could count on for a professional view of a document, an assignment, a referral, feedback on an interview, or just an opinion on what my search status was from time to time. I don't think you appreciated just how important that was for me!
Lastly, I appreciated your flexibility to deal with me as my search took turns and in many cases went out of a typical order that was being prescribed by the company. You looked at these cases, and instead of placing me in a "box", worked with me to maximize each event. These included the early (some would say too early) interviews, the venture capitalists discussions, the announcement assignment that I did for Company X, and some jobs that I interviewed for that we both knew I did not really want to be successful in that search.
